Release Notes- our way of denoting breaking news. Always stay up-to-date with intriguing changes to the Forecast platform.
Curious about old releases? Check in out here.

The Month of January 2019

January 31st
What's New

  • Parlez-vous français? Oui! Or we do!! Our platform is now fully supported in French. That also means that we now provide customer support and onboarding in French.
  • Insight update on the Portfolio Task List you can filter by status column, on all projects. If for example, you make a status column called “ready for release” then you can always see what is ready for release, naturally.

Fixed

  • A bug might have been cramping your non-project time. If you had an allocation to non-project time, you couldn’t delete the time. Now there is a warning before you delete the time if you were also allocated.
  • Faster is better, especially when it comes to loading time. Insight components load a lot better or at least it’s a bit faster for individual components.
  • Xero integration is updated for a “smooth as butter” experience. In the app settings in Forecast, you can see which the Xero organization you have linked. Also, newly created invoices have a “Go to Forecast” invoice button, so the two-way sync is a bit more obvious now.

What's New

  • Price and Profit Insight is the talk of the town, or around the office at Forecast. Price and Profit Insight now includes Connected Projects. If you  want to view this insight, just group by "Projects."

Fixed

  • The Calendar integration is updated, so if there was a minor annoyance with meetings creating in separate calendars, but that’s fixed now. Besides the minor bug fixes and the overall polish to this integration, more logistical updates include: If a task/project has started, the meeting is prefilled to begin in the next full hour. If a task/project has not started, the meeting is prefilled to start on the starting date at 8 AM.

Coming Soon

  • Continuing with our UI rollout, we're focused on the collaborators! We will be launching the Time page and Task Modal next. Soon it will be more intuitive to track and add your time to your tasks and organize your tasks.

What's New

  • A new year means new Forecast, well not entirely. We’re at a steady pace with rolling out the new UI, and this week we’ve launched the new Overview page. The main changes are for projects that use Task Allocations. The Overview page shows you: Project Details, a Task Allocation Graph, your current Sprint, your Task Overview (i.e., the Estimates vs. Time registered on a graph), as well as the Task Status Columns. Now you’ll have a better Overview, literally. Note: If you use Project Allocations the Overview page remains the same.
  • Time is on our minds, and we’re saving you some with an update to the calendar integration. Integrate with your Google, Outlook or Apple Calendar, and now book meetings directly from a task, or book team meetings with everyone on the project. If you’re on the calendar view, you can now quickly add time registrations.

Fixed

  • Export to CSV is improved in Insights. Before numbers would have a value attached, but now you can export the lists as raw numbers. So now Excel won't freak out, because it can read all your numbers correctly.
We've improved the load speed of insight components. Basically, we're saving you a noticeable fraction of time- back to your busy day.
