Launching the Project Timeline

This week we launched a new feature; the project timeline. The timeline is our approach to an effective manageable Gantt-chart for all of your running projects. You simply choose a start- and end date of your project, and it automatically sets up the timeline to reflect the deadlines specified for all of your cards and milestones.

The timeline should provide you with a great overview of your chosen project, and simply through drag and drop, you can move cards around on the timeline, adjust deadlines, start- and end dates and time available.

In order to get a real feeling with the new feature, we suggest you start with a sample project. You can set up a sample project through the admin panel found in the upper right-hand menu.

Here, at the bottom of the page you find “demo data” and “create demo project”. Simply, click this button.

This way you can get to play around with it before you adjust your real projects. Go to the newly created project, and navigate to the Timeline in the left-hand menu.

This should give you a view similar to the one below. Play hard in the confidence that it won't affect any of your other projects. To expand/collapse a milestone, simply click the tab to the left of the timeline.

If you need any help, visit our help center for a quick answer, otherwise you’re always more than welcome to start a chat with us directly from within Forecast - using the button in the lower right-hand corner of your screen. Please do also leave us any feedback you might have, both positive and negative feedback is greatly appreciated.
