Talk: IT People Speakers “Project Management – Estimation, Planning & Agile”

On Jan. 28th 2015 Forecast is speaking at the IT People Speakers event in Copenhagen named “Project Management – Estimation, planning & agile”.

Six speakers are announced and they will all give their views and experiences on the topic.

The Forecast talk

The main point of our talk will be about a data-driven and proactive approach to ensure predictability in project estimates (cost and time) and planning (resources). We call this "Using the past to predict the future" and it stems from using historical data from previous projects to ensure that nothing is forgotten and team members are not overly optimistic or pessimistic for that matter (that's rarely the case though) in project planning.

A proactive and data-driven approach will ensure that budgets will be kept and the projects that are initiated actually will finish. This will ultimately result in a better bottom line and satisfied customers. We will also present a customer case, with Nets, on how they have saved millions using this approach.

No matter if you're doing agile or more traditional IT projects this topic will be relevant.
