New improved budget for your projects

Features

Today, we launched a brand new budget page for all of your projects. This is the 1st iteration, but we wanted to get it out to you as soon as possible. We will continue to work hard on making it even better and automating the processes that are most frustrating to you. Right now, we’re working on integrating Forecast with several of the world’s leading accounting systems, incl. QuickBooks, Xero and e-conomic - so, that you can bring your financials directly into your projects.

The new budget view has two tabs, money and hours, and thus presents the current situation in a much better way than previously. You can easily see the economic past of the project, the remaining funds, and the expected profit calculated by the estimates from our artificial intelligence. Similarly, the hours view shows you the current situation from a time perspective.

If you’re working with a fixed project price, you can set the limit right from the overview as well. This will add the fixed value on the graph, presented with the red line shown in the pictures above.

Also, if you want to work with your numbers externally, it is still possible to export your budget as an .CSV file.
To do so, simply click the hamburger icon in the upper right-hand corner as shown below.

The new budget is available exactly where you’re used to finding your budgets - in the left-hand project menu.

If you have any questions or issues with the new budget, or anything else within Forecast, please do not hesitate to reach out to us through the chat bubble in the lower right-hand corner. Also feedback is very welcome!
