Meet our team: Jacek R.Behind the Scenes
The Forecast team is getting bigger and bigger. We're happy to announce that Jacek is joining as part of our commercial team. As we tend to do; we asked him a few questions...
Briefly describe yourself and where you're from, what you do/role/study etc.
I’m Polish, but I have been living in Denmark for a little while now. Came here as a student and currently I’m doing an internship in business development at Forecast to obtain a relevant experience in order to get into a course that I find interesting.
What one word describes my childhood?
WoW (World of Warcraft)
How do I wind down after work?
I find the stuff I do at Forecast exciting, so no need to wind down. But when I have to, I listen to something that is easy to sing-along to and then proceed to visualize people who made me upset that day. My long time favorite for this is a Cannibal Corpse’s song - Make them suffer.
What movie or fictional character do I most identify with?
I mostly watch gangster tv shows and movies, but I'm glad to say that I don't identify myself with either Al Capone or Michael Corleone. However, characters in these type of movies have qualities such as high confidence and problem solving skills and these are something I definitely look up to.
What's the thing I enjoy doing the most?
Strapping into snowboard bindings on a high slope in Alps.
If you really knew me, you'd know _____.
That I couldn’t care less about the food’s taste, as long it has good macros.
If I were to start a company from scratch, what values would I build it on?
I want my company to be well organized and that people enjoy working there. However, the most important value of it would be serving five proper meals during work hours.
What's the number one thing I want to achieve in life?
That when I'm old and look back at my life I don't see too many regrets.
What characteristic do I most admire in others?
I admire people who come out as confident, have high self esteem and self-awareness, are well-spoken and do interesting stuff that is outside of mainstream line of activities.
What superpower would I like to have?
All I need is just more hours in a day.
What’s the most important lesson I’ve learned in the last year?
After moving four times in three months, I realized that Copenhagen can bite when it comes to finding an apartment.
How do I act when I'm stressed out?
I tend to stutter a little. Could be in my head though.
Sports or other activities?
I love going to the gym, chasing the glorious pump. Other than that, I used to do hiking and mountain biking, but due to the lack of mountains in Denmark, I was forced to go on a hiatus. Besides these, I enjoy reading business, science and personal development books, going no-life mode on a good video game from time to time, browsing dank memes and spending time outside in an active form.
